Hiranyagharba Lingam Manifested (Golden Lingam)

Sri Swami Vishwananda gave birth to the Hiranyagharba Lingam (Golden Lingam) at 2pm on the 30th November 2009.

If you would like to see pictures of it follow the link below:
http://swamivishwananda-info.blogspot.com/2009/11/swamiji-manifested-golden-lingam.html

So what is the Hiranyagharba Lingam:

Well, according to the Vedas the Hiranyagharba is the primordial being, the primeval seed from which Brahma was born. According to Manu, Hiranyagharba was Brahma, the first male, formed by the indiscernible First Cause in a golden egg resplendent as the sun. Having continued one year in the egg, Brahma then divided it into two parts by his mere thought and with these two shells he formed the heavens and the earth and in the middle he placed the sky, the eight regions and the eternal abode of the waters."

"Brahma is depicted as growing out of the navel lotus of Narayana and is a metaphor for all of creation. Brahma is a name for the principle which creates all of the manifest realms. In the Vedas the term "Brahma" does not appear. It is a word that stems from the Sanskrit word "Brih" which means "to grow" or "to expand." In this way Brahma has become synonymous with Hiranyagharba, "The golden egg of creation."

Some of the things that Vishwananda shared with usregarding the lingam go beyond human understanding. The golden egg of creation simply cannot be completely understood. But Swamiji did remark that "the lingam does not appear just like that without any purpose. Its presence gives the world a greater balance. Seen from God's perspective, this 'interference' is only minimal (God doesn't greatly interfere with his own creation), but for the world it does matter."
The golden lingam is said to have great healing powers. Even just a picture of the golden lingam can bring about a transformation within. But for the most part, the Hiranyagharba lingam goes beyond explanation and understanding.

October Insights

During his last Darshan on October the third 2009 Sri Swami Vishwananda gave answer to an interesting question:

Last week somebody asked “Swamiji, have you ever seen God?” The answer is Yes, not only one time, but actually everyday. Everyday I see the Divine Mother and I see God in all beings which breathe, because He is inside of them. So the Darshan of the Divine is ever present. If you have the eyes to see that, you will see. That’s what Christ said no?

Where does the multitude of beings all around come from? Does it not come from God? And where are they all going? They are going towards God. Some say we are doomed, which I don’t believe at all. We make ourselves doomed. We make ourselves being miserable. When we are far away from the light, we are in darkness. We have the choice: If you want to be in the light, you will see the light. But if you refuse to see the light , don’t complain that you are not seeing the light. If you sit in the dark room and say “It’s dark, it’s dark” and you don’t want to move to the next room, where there is light, then why do you complain? So the same thing: the Divine is ever present. If you want to see the Divine, you will see, it but you have to be sincere in your want. Many people say” Yes, Swamiji I want to see the Divine, but… it’s difficult.” Well, just by knowing that the Divine is ever present, you will have the Darshan of the Divine.

Like I said once: It's not by seeing a light, that you call that light the Divine. It’s good if He comes in the form of the light. Be happy about it. But yet the light has a limit. The Ultimate doesn’t have a limit. You are breathing the Ultimate. You are living in the Ultimate. You are part of the Ultimate and this is the real Darshan of the Divine. There is no use looking for something which has a limit. It is inside of you. So: Yes, everyday you have Darshan of the Divine with each person that you meet, each work that you are doing, you are serving the Divine and if you just say to yourself “Yes, I see the Divine Mother everyday in every being”, you will see the Divine Mother in every being.

Having recently returned from Germany after spending time with Sri Swami Vishwananda celebrating Navaratri, it was a truly beautiful experience and time, sharing those moments with Him.

The one thing I always see is how much Swami just gives and gives. There were over 200 people staying at the centre in Germany and as you can imagine everyone wanted to spend time with Swami. However no matter how many people He had already chatted to or seen that day He always had a smile for the next person. Navaratri was an experience like never before. It is the celebration of the Divine Mother over a 9 day period and without going into detail about the actual celebration I rather want to share my experiences with everyone out there.

Each day we celebrated from around 6pm till on average 1am. Now normally one would sit there and think when is the prayer ending or have other thoughts. However Divine Mother's energy could be felt so strong and I knew she was with us. My mind was clear and all I could focus on was Her, Her love and Her grace. It is something until now if someone had said this to me I would not have been able to understand. But after my experience and feeling Divine Mother around me I ask Her to always be with me. Her energy is soft and gentle with so much love. A couple of the nights at the end of the prayers it felt like we all had been transported to a Lokka the abodes of the Gods and Demi Gods. It was so beautiful as we sang, danced and prayed with the Divine Mother each night.

I urge all of you to sit down in a moment of silence and call the Divine Mother, look inside your heart and you will find her. I urge this so you may share the experience of love I found over Navaratri with Divine Mother, have Darshan of Divine Mother and move into the light.

Swami’s trip is coming closer and I spoke to Him about it, He is really excited to be coming to South Africa and sends everyone His love. During November we will be communicating Swami Schedule to you, Darshan dates and times and the News Years eve celebration with Him.

We hope to see you all soon at the Temple and if you would like to help with Swami trip in December please contact me so you can get involved.

Much Love

September Insights

September, spring is coming which means growth of the new and the death of the old has passed. Just as the seasons come and go, so do we flow with them. As we move into spring and then summer we begin to blossom inside and grow towards our true self. We begin to open like a lotus flower, no matter how much dirt surrounds us we can grow to be the most beautiful flower that radiates trueness and grace. We have recently put our website for the temple live. It has information on events the temple and multimedia from some of the events that have taken place: http://www.narasimha.co.za/

This month we focus on Atma Kriya and messages from Mahavatar Kriya Babaji to all of us:“The Atma Kriya given to Swami Vishwananda contains the keys to freedom of the soul taking flight, riding upon the golden wings of Garuda, Vishnu's vahana, that takes the soul to the heights of Divinity and the realms of Narayana and Maha Lakshmi, the Supreme Lord and the Divine Mother. Those souls who are poised upon this pinnacle of Divine Timing presently are divinely inspired and will take Atma Kriya home to freedom, enlightenment. And so it is written, and so it is!” —Mahavatar Kriya Babaji.

Atma Kriya is a highly effective yoga practise anchored in an ancient tradition, but adapted to the modern life. It has been passed down from Mahavatar Kriya Babaji to Sri Swami Vishwananda. It is an invitation to take one of the greatest human journeys anyone possibly can – a journey to the Centre of Your Being. This place is called Atma. Atma is the Sanskrit name for your Soul, it is who you Really Are, it is what you Truly Represent and it is the source of your Highest Potential. For those that have done Atma Kriya you have felt its beauty, felt its ability to free your soul from the bonds of time. Atma Kriya will open the heart so you can begin to flow with unconditional love. The opening of the heart and becoming unconditional love is our true purpose and who we really are.

"I am coming closer to humanity than ever before at this time in Earth’s history. Why? Because it is Divine Timing that I do so! So It Is Written. From time immemorial man has lived upon the Earth in various levels of consciousness or awareness. As time progresses in each Yuga or age, enlightenment occurs in Divine timing. So it is that in the present age of Kali Yuga the Divine has given Kriya meditation as a vehicle capable of raising one's consciousness into higher levels of vibration. Now is such a time when Kriya will take one to the heights of the Gods as has been recorded in scriptures left on this planet by the Gods who come to live among man to assist in his awakening in each age."

I am one who exists in obscurity to the unaware eyes of man but contiguously lives with man on the planet throughout the ages to assist with this process of man's freedom from the cycle of birth and death and the reincarnational wheel. Never before have I come as close to unenlightened man as I now am offering myself to the disciples of Swami Vishwananda. In times past, I have worked with the Prophets or Enlightened ones of mankind, who then take my message of Living Light of Love to the rest of humanity. It is within the Divine Plan that I am coming closer to all mankind at this time through Atma Kriya and in general. Let it be so.” — Mahavatar Kriya Babaji.

We are having a Atma Kriya course in December 2009. I have also attached an overview Atma Kriya. If you would like to know more please email at info@narasimha.co.za I shall leave you with words from some of my students who recently did Atma Kriya

"MY EXPERIENCES GAVE ME GREATER EFFORTLESS ACTS OF FORGIVING AND SPONTANEOUS FEELINGS OF LOVE, SO MUCH THAT I INVOLUNTARY SHED TEARS WHENEVER I COME ACROSS ANY SELFLESS ACTS IN REALITY OR EVEN IN MOVIES , TV BROADCASTING ETC. I FEEL MORE HAPPY AND JOYFUL EVEN FOR NO REASON AT ALL."

"ON 17 AUGUST 2009 AFTER HAVING DONE THE COURSE ON THE WEEKEND AND HAVING STARTED THE 40 DAY MEDITATION, AS I WAS SLEEPING, I 'DREAMT' THAT SOMEONE WAS NEXT TO MY BED AND GENTLY BLOWING INTO MY RIGHT EAR (AS YOU DID, FOR THE INITIATION ON OUR THIRD EYES). IT WAS EXTREMLY VIVID AND REAL."

August Insights

Jai Guru Dev to everyone as we move into the wonderful month of August. June and July were two extremely busy months as they saw the culmination of months of planning. We officially opened our new Temple in Johannesburg, had Sri Swami Vishwananda visit us here in South Africa doing various prayers and giving Darshan and we experienced a almost unbelievably amazing Guru Purnima dedicated to Mahavatar Kriya Babaji. Moving forward into the rest of the year as spring slowly creeps its way into our lives we continue with the uplifting and enlightening movement of love and God Realisation.

This month sees some wonderful events taking place at the Temple: we have Krishna Janmastami (a celebration of the appearance of Lord Krishna) on the 14th August, Atma Kriya Course on the 15th and 16th August, Om Healing every Sunday of the month, Satsang on Thursday evenings and Abishek to Lord Narasimha every Saturday morning.

As this is the month to celebrate Lord Krishna we decided to change the format a bit. Below are two extracts that are most beautiful and enlightening in their words and power. The first narration was spoken by Sri Krishna to His close friend Uddhava. They are some of the most beautiful words every recorded and are a guide and marker for attaining liberation in this life time…

- Hear me, O Uddhava, as I tell you the secret of spiritual enlightenment....

- In each and every age Satsanga is the supreme means of salvation....

- The gopis who tended the cows and kept me company in childhood, the wives of the brahmins of Vrindavana, and countless others.

- None of these studied the scriptures, and they never served the great saints, or observed any vows or austerities. Yet through their association with me or with saints, sages and my devotees, they attained liberation.

- The gopis who tended the cows, even the cows, antelopes, serpents and trees, all reached ecstatic union with the One through satsanga....

- When I was taken away from Vrindavana with my brother Balarama, the gopis, because of their love for me were bereft of joy.

- The days and nights with me in Vrindavana passed like moments, but the days and nights of my absence seemed like years.

- With their minds fixed on me, with all their thoughts revolving around me, they were no longer conscious of relatives and friends, they were not even aware of their own bodies, much less of this world or the next.

- Like Yogies in a deeply meditative state, they merged their consciousness with mine, just as the waters of many rivers merge with the ocean.

- These were women uneducated in scriptural law, they did not know my true nature or their own. They simply desired my presence, they longed for me as their beloved.

- Yet through the power of satsanga with me they attained that state of consciousness in which they merged with the supreme Brahman.

- You should do likewise, beloved Uddhava. Give up all injunctions and prohibitions,All that you have heard or may hear related to scriptural do's and don'ts.

- Take shelter in your heart, there seek the Self. Do this with complete devotion and freed from all fear you too will surely merge with me.

From the Uddhava Gita 7.1,5-15
(Bhagavata Purana XI.7.1,5-15)

The Last piece for this month is a beautiful Sanskrit poem that talks about the glories of Lord Hari’s name

(7)diyatam diyatam karno
niyatam niyatam vaca
giyatam giyatam nityam
harer namaiva kevalam

7) It should be heard again and again with one’s ears; It should be uttered over and over with one’s voice; It should be perpetually sung and sung anew—The holy name of Sri Hari alone is everything.

(8)

Is it easier being a Christian, Muslim or Hindu???

The reason I ask this question is Christians and Muslims have one God really to believe in. Christians have God and well Jesus made it clear that he was the son of God. Even if you think that Jesus is God then that leaves you with still one prospect as Jesus and God are basically one and the same. The same with the Muslims they have Allah and it is clear for them that Allah is the Supreme. Hindu’s on the other hand well the options to choose from are vast and many. Each scripture can be taken and used to justify whatever aspect you decide to follow to be the Supreme and the pinnacle. Throughout History people have taken a verse or couple of versus to say that the one I follow is the Supreme. Is that a justification for their ego or is that to help others find the path to salvation.

This is not however isolated to just the Hindu’s as all religions do the same and propagate that if one does follow this aspect or that aspect you are damned or not going anywhere. Has all this justification bred judgement that because I follow x or y I am better than you.

Surely that goes against what God actually had in mind for us from the beginning. Unity and Love and an understanding that we are all one, an understanding that if I judge my fellow human I am in fact judging myself and God for that matter.

It would be wonderful for someone to send down a memo from God that said you know what, I finally reached my dear Lord Hari and low and behold everyone from all beliefs was with Him. I was so expecting that one or the other group would be sitting outside His fence because they believed in someone else but wow it would seem that They are all His Aspects are all the Supreme.

Eclipse 6th August 2009

So in the space of 2 months the world will experience 3 eclipses. What is the significance of these eclipses, should we avoid looking at them and what should / can we do to negate any effects if there are any?

Today the 22nd July the 21st century’s longest solar eclipse occurred. It mainly occurred over India, Pakistan and Asia at about 5:58am (Pakistan time) and ended approximately five hours later at 11:12am when it began when the moon blocked out the sun.

From a media report, ISLAMABAD: The longest full solar eclipse of this century will blot out the sun today (Wednesday) as it passes over Pakistan and other countries. What is a solar eclipse? A solar eclipse occurs when the moon’s orbit moves between the Earth and the Sun so that the Sun is fully or partially obstructed.

The short space of time that sees the three eclipses is significant as the last time this occurred major change happened in society. The phenomenon is said to have occurred just before the 1st and second world war. Tracing it back there is evidence that it occurred before other such major events in history.

Should you avoid looking at the eclipse and going outside while it is taking place…. YES!!
To negate any affects of the eclipse you should meditate on the 6th August to neutralize any affects it has.

See the 3rd of the eclipses has a purpose and if we trace back to what occurred just after the last one world war 2 we can see that it has a duality to it. What is the duality?
The third eclipse is here to deal with the negativity of the world in which we live. If you stay inside and mediate during or on the 6th the eclipse shall relieve you of your negativity. However as the world in which we live is a duality if you go and look at the eclipse you will be burdened with negativity.

So please try your hardest to avoid looking at or being outside during the eclipse on the 6th August.
The next one on the 6th will happen at the times below: IST is Indian standard time.

4.37 hrs IST in the early morning and ends at 7.49 hrs IST

If you need to convert IST to your time click on the link below and you can then make choose your country and city to see the time difference.

July Insights

What is love and what is light? Could it be that they are the one and the same. When one feels complete love pure unconditional love, one feels light one see’s light. When we speak of moving towards the light we speak of moving towards the love. We know deep inside that this is the way forward that it is the only way. The sense of pure love drives us and motivates us. It pushes us to accomplish more than we are capable of as it acts as the catalyst to breaking our own created boundaries and fears.

Be that which you seek. Be pure love and you shall find pure love. One must first be and then doing will be second nature. Be the love that you seek and then you will start doing everything with love which in turn will lead to having pure love. Having more pure love than you can ever imagine or have been lead to think you can imagine. Can you imagine having more pure love than you can imagine. For most of us that thought is almost way out of our comprehension. But an ounce of being pure love can lead to a ton of doing pure love and that in turn shall lead to an excess of more than 10 tons of having pure love. Be, Do, Have the principle to life. Most often than not we have it reversed. Have, Do, Be. We think that if we have more love we can do more and finally be more love. However one must be love first and not have love. By being you are that which you seek. You are that which you strive day in and day out to remember. Be, Do Have….. Be, Do, Have…… Could it be that simple in life?

Yes it is but being love is harder for us as humans as we have been conditioned this way. We must throw all we know out the window and empty our closet that we have in the mind. This will free you to make the process simple and easy. So if you are destined to be pure love someday then why should that moment not be now. You must empty your mind of previous conditioning for that moment of clarity to take place.

In moving to the heart we free ourselves of so much and yet we connect ourselves to so much more. We free ourselves of negativity and connect ourselves to infinity. A peace and purity inside of you that once tasted even in the smallest quantity will surely give you the understanding and power to complete the journey now and forever.

Sri Swami Vishwananda PT 3

As the week roles on by now after our dear beloved Swami has left, we can only look back at beauty that we all got to enjoy. Lord Narasimha standing in his new home looks amazing. He radiates as the name of the temple suggests. The Maha Jwala Narasimha Temple. What a blessing to be able to go and serve Him on a regular basis. What an honour to be able to go and sit in front of Him and sing His glories.

Darshan was so beautiful and everyone who entered the temple even if they were not smiling came out beaming from ear to ear. A first timer to a Darshan and meeting Swami was awestruck at just how much her heart had been touched. The usual comment of it felt like he was talking to me during his speech resonated from her.

Luckily enough we can plan for our next visit and what a new years it will be. We also will be lucky enough to have Swami with us 3 time next year jai jai jai.

May the love in everyone’s heart continue to flow and spread like wild fire through SA and the world.

Sri Swami Vishwananda Pt 2

As I sit here watching my Dear Swami give Darshan and look back at the past week of prayers I can only look deep within my heart and think how lucky and everyone is that gets to experience this time with Him.

The temple inauguration was finished last night with Lord Narasimha looking like the super effulgent Lord that He is. As the curtain opened and we got the first glimpse of His effulgence tears were seen in many a persons eye that was here.

The energy form the Darshan is radiating as usual and so pure that it is like being in a bath of spiritual milk.

Sri Swami Vishwananda PT1

The expectation of Sri Swami Vishwananda’s visit had reached it’s climax. We had been planning, talking and some what going round in circles over events that would take place during His visit.

The day He landed was excitement as everyone was eagerly preparing and rushing to meet Him at the airport. At present we only get two visits a year from Swami and everyone here laps up each moment with Him that they can. It is wonderful to see the smiles on everyone’s faces and feel the love emanating from their heart.

His first port of call was Durban where He was to do a chapel opening. I was only to see Him Tuesday night at the airport on his arrival in Johannesburg. The hardest part about meeting Swami to me is actually the anticipation and waiting to meeting Him as you stand in arrivals hall. That first glimpse of Him through the doors can only but bring a smile to your face. I know for me and many others around the world this is how we feel as we anticipate His arrival.

Looking into Swami’s eyes is like is like being taken to Heaven. My heart always melts and I know in my heart the purity and genuineness of the Soul sitting inside Him.

He is with us for 6 Days and I know we will all lap as much up as possible as our next time with Him may only be December

Experience vs. Knowledge

Recently I was going through the net and having a look what variations of Yoga are on the market and how people are going to this course and that course. Each course in its own right promising the participant this or that outcome.

How much time do we spend attending these courses, taking in new ideas and learning new ways in which to bring peace to our self? We want to have God realization and self realization and go about learning all these ways and stack up all this knowledge that we can recite and help others to find that elusive truth.

We need to realise that knowledge without experience is like having a book in your library but not actually having read the book and experienced what is between the covers. We need to experience what we know so we can make it our own. Everyone’s path to the remembrance of who they are is different. We are all individuals inside this unity of one. That is the beauty of this existence we can be one yet we are all individuals and it is this very reason that we need to make any knowledge our own and experience that knowledge how it works for us. But we must experience that knowledge and not just keep it as knowledge.

June Insights

So often in life it is very easy for us as people having this human experience to loose focus and track of were we actually going or were we actually want to go and end up. The world in which we live is designed to stimulate every sense of ours taking no prisoners but attracting us and attaching us to various elements of its nature.

People that come to me for healing ask the same question that others have asked. How does one rise above this never ending cycle of sense gratification that leaves us feeling unfulfilled and having to work harder to find the peace and love inside of us? Each action whether viewed as wrong or right by us or others is created and acted out by us. So we should own those actions and thoughts and own up to them. We need to be conscious of what we are doing every second of every day so that as Ghandi says “happiness comes when what we think, say and do are in harmony.

Medically speaking the body is pretty much split in two, everything below the head and everything above the head namely the mind and body. Adding the third and critical element the soul we see the depth to Ghandi’s quote as when the mind, body and soul are in harmony we are focused, motivated and moving in the direction we consciously choose.

We often blame the mind for leading us off track away from where we ultimately want to go. Are we not the creators of our reality? Do we not create the experiences that our mind uses as a gauge for future experiences? We must realise that we are the mind, we are the body and we are the soul. We are all of these and we need to remember that fact. We need to take ownership of these three elements of our human experience. Once we take ownership of the direction our soul wants to go and guide the mind to lead the body there we will find ultimate peace.

In order to do this we need to come from the foundation of unconditional love. For that is all that your soul wants to give and enjoy. It is all that you search for day and night on your path to remembrance of who you truly are. When we are operating from the foundation of unconditional love we are operating from the heart. Have you ever noticed that what the heart wants the mind will follow without question. The process does not work the other way round. The mind when acting without the hearts leaves one feeling disjointed and unsatisfied and a search to reconnect to the heart resumes again and again till you reconnect with the heart.

Become unconditional love even for one second and feel the remembrance of who you are. Take it step by step and consciously work to become that which you seek.

A New Beginning

Below is something I wrote down 6 months ago. After much soul searching and lots of understanding I feel it is the way forward as it is actually the fundamental of everything, Bhakti, Kriya Yoga, Krishna Consciences etc.

The base, foundation and fundamental of all of these are unconditional love.
Here are 5 points on how this should work so that people can find a sense of inner peace.

1 - The first fundamental question that one should ask in any situation is “what would unconditional love do now”. One should ask this before reacting or leaping into a situation.

Unconditional love is pure and has no judgements. It is forgiveness and unification.
When you or anyone is unsure of how to react or unsure if it is right or wrong always ask yourself what would love do know, love from the heart.

One must also come to understand what unconditional love is so when you ask the question you have a reference to it.

2 – We must realise that every encounter is an opportunity for us grow and remember who we are as a soul. If we go into a new experience as a soul with the understanding of what do I need from this experience with a foundation of unconditional love, then we are coming from a place of peace and understanding and not greed, ego or pride.

3 – An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. When you operate from the space of unconditional love you have no interest in getting even with anybody if they have wronged you.

4 – Forget what the scriptures say – rather listen to your heart and hear what the unconditional love inside you has to say. Scriptures over time have been interpreted to suit our human needs. All scriptures however are about unconditional love. This is the ultimate scripture the scripture from the heart on unconditional love.

5 – Be honest, fair and pure love when dealing with yourself and others.
Learn to love
Learn to forgive
Learn to be humble
Learn compassion

Remember point 1 is always the ultimate truth and should be put above all other points.
People should be empowered to take control of themselves and their journey on remembering who that are. Disempowering makes them weak and empowering makes them strong.

There is so much other knowledge that come with this but the points above are an amazing place to start.

Be the change you want to see in the world

Recently I have been wondering about the direction the world is going in. Are we moving towards a more loving and caring world or are we moving away from that. There seems to be a major up swing in the number of people who are spiritual teachers and helping others release past experiences that are holding them back. There are more and more books and courses doing the same for people.

In our corporate wellness business where we bring a holistic approach to wellness in corporate’s there to I am seeing cracks begin to develop in the old way of doing things in big business. More and more we are being asked to bring our workshops and courses in to help people find more love.

Seeing this is actually wonderful and is showing that small sometimes tiny steps are taking place. Lets us remember this though as Ghandi said “be the change you want to see in the world”. If you want more love and tolerance in the world then you must become that example to all. Next time you are thinking of becoming angry at someone remember that in order for the world to change you must become what you think it should be. Then only can it become a reality in you and others. Others lead by the example of great men and women. A great man or women is not only a leader of country but also someone small who believed in something greater and lived it.

Let us become the light the world needs now and forever so the world our children inherit is one of love.

Talking to the Masters

As the year seem to move faster and faster we gracefully slide into the month of May. I was lucky enough to take a week’s break at the end of April in a wonderful place overlooking the sea. While down at the coast I was having many discussions with the Masters as I was being lead to understand more and more about the universe and the world in which we live.

Let us start here with what is a Master and do we understand how lucky we are to be in the presence of one. I remember reading Autobiography of a Yogi in 2003 finishing the book and then saying to myself wow how lucky are all these people they got to spend time with truly great Master from Lahiri Mahasaya to Sri Yukteswar down to Yogananda. What a blessing for them but come on they are all in either India or America and what is the chance of me meeting a Master like that let alone getting initiated into Kriya and maybe teaching Kriya one day.

Fast forward 6 years and I have been blessed by meeting various Masters, taking Swami initiation as a Swami for Mahavatar Babaji Himself, being able to initiate people into Kriya Yoga for Mahavatar Babaji and as I said earlier being in the presence of true Masters. This last fact alone is so rare in our incarnations that I must ask do I truly appreciate this.

I know that sometimes I forget what an amazing blessing this is just as we all do. Sometimes I take it for granted but more often than anything else I sit down and truly say thank you to them for showing me what is actually possible in this life. Even when I take them for granted the unconditional love they give me shows that they are true Masters and this itself is the entire lesson we need. No lectures or discourses just this. The showing of how we should actually be, just being unconditional love.

However one of the main things they keep saying is we are all one and the individuality we feel in this existence needs to be moved past. We as souls having this experience must understand that what we do to one we do to all and our self. This is the consciousness that should be understood and experienced. We have all felt that bursting joy, love and happiness inside us when we have made someone else experience those same wonderful things. The same is true for fear, negativity and pain. It is up to us to consciously decide which one of these two experiences we want everyone around us to experience. Do we want them to feel fear, pain and negativity or do we want them to experience happiness, love and joy. The answer to this will determine what you in turn will experience.

We must also realise that no two things in the universe are the same. No two souls are the same as the experiences they have had have made their understanding diverse. No two forms that we inhabit down here or elsewhere in the universe are matching. Our creator made it this way so that not even two snow flakes are identical. Things might seem similar but sometimes only the Creator and the Masters can actually see the subtle differences. Religion is supposed to be the unifier of man but that has lead us as history shows to separate ourselves even more from one another and God. We loose common ground under the name of religion and beliefs. Separating ourselves when in-fact we actually should be unifying together. So then with all this diversity that we find not only with our physical and spiritual selves but also with our perceptions, what is the foundation and base that we can all use as a understanding on which to move forward and truly come together as one. How can we begin to remember who we are?

Starting with question of right or wrong as this is how we move forward in our daily lives believing that we are justified in some action or behaviour. We see ourselves as right and others as wrong. Is it not funny then how others can see us as wrong and themselves as right. How is that possible then under this light to unify as a whole together? How can we move away from judgement towards each other? Firstly right or wrong is determined by the person’s perception of reality at that time. What does that mean, we as humans have actually created the understanding of right or wrong. For in the universe there is no right or wrong. Right or wrong is a judgemental emotion and perception which actually leads us away from our core. My perception from right or wrong is different from lets say my brothers. Even though we had the same family our understandings and experiences have lead us to have different perceptions of reality. My perception of reality might be of a gentler loving nature but does that make me more advanced or spiritually superior to him. See as you begin to unravel the threads more and more threads become loose. In truth there will only be one thread left that you are holding once you have worked your way through all the misconceptions and misunderstandings. The one thread left on which the universe is built and which we should build our foundations on for the remembrance of who we are and unification with each other is unconditional love.

Unconditional love does not see right or wrong but acceptance of who you are and your perceptions. Unconditional love does not see someone as more advanced or someone else less civilised. Unconditional love looks past all the conceptions we have down here and says I love you as you are. With so many differences in the universe unconditional love is the platform and foundation God created and gave us so that we could unify and understand each other. Nothing else can have this unification that unconditional can have and give us.

April Insights

So we are at the dawn of winter, longer nights and colder temperatures. While the other half of the world goes into summer we gracefully walk into winter. Some dread winter, others welcome it but winter is a time when we can take stock of everything in our lives. We can take time to examine the reality we have created and determine if it is as we set out to do.

The 29th of March saw our 3rd Om Healing for the Year in Pretoria. It was very powerful. States of Bliss were on the faces of those present. The next one, scheduled for the 3rd of May should be just as blissful. If you would like to know more or wish to come to our centre in Pretoria you can email me at info@healinghearthands.co.za or go to our website http://www.healinghearthands.co.za/ to see more.

So April is the Month for us to begin to live in the Present with unconditional love. There are two understandings which are very apt for this as they lead into each other.

Karma: So much has been written and said about karma but what does it actually mean and how does it affect us? Karma can best be described as what you make another living being experience you yourself will experience either in this life or another. If you make someone experience grief then you will experience grief. That is why it is so important for us to live in the light with unconditional love towards ourselves and all around us. If we want to experience happiness, pure happiness from the heart, then give that gift to someone else and see what happens.

People often ask me why is ‘Seva’ (charity work / selfless service) so important? The reason is because we are all truly one. Our souls all come from the same place and we all are one. This is why we can feel someone else’s pain or happiness. If you help someone else in need you are actually helping yourself find joy. To ‘experience’ joy, happiness or love give that gift to someone else and you will receive it back. But it must be given from the heart with sincerity. When you give with sincerity, you will receive with sincerity. If you give with no joy, the return will be just a joyless… So where does this lead us?

The second understanding I would like to mention is ‘enlightenment’. This word also has so many understandings and connotations around it that it is very vague and unclear to most of us. When we think of enlightenment we often think of some Indian guy meditating in a cave or under a tree who is ‘enlightened’. But enlightenment is so much more than that. It is the unique realization that we have the ability to reason and thus create our reality. We have the unique ability to reason which allows us to create our own reality.

I was going to write it 50 times so we would remember it but let’s break this down so we can understand it. We have the unique ability to reason. Animals are driven on instinct and yes there always the odd exceptions but generally they cannot reason as we can. Their instincts play a major role in how their realities are shaped. We, as humans, on the other hand have the ability to reason from second to second, moment to moment. Does this mean we are superior to animals? No, it actually means we have a greater responsibility to act with love and care than they do. But this reasoning allows us to create our reality, allows us to create the present. Sometimes the English language is actually funny. Think about the word present which means the current time and a gift. So the present moment is a gift for us to experience. We ourselves wrapped this gift by reasoning the moment before. We are unwrapping our own gifts every moment. Make sure that the gift you open is one of love – you owe it to yourself!! Quit worrying so much about the future and don’t spend so much time reminiscing about the past, stay present and create the reality you want – a reality of happiness and joy!

If we wrap our gift, our ‘present’, with fear or unhappiness what do you think will be the present we will be unwrapping in our reality?

If we wrap that same gift our ‘present with unconditional love and joy think of the present you will be unwrapping…

Live with love and you will be unwrapping a love present in your present.

Masters the deeper meaning

So often we look to spiritual masters as Gods and that has an unfortunate way in which we end up viewing and digesting their message.

When we look at our spiritual Masters as Gods we end up putting them on pedestals. Why is this such a bad thing?

The majority of them do not want to be put in that category. It has a number of adverse affects on those who are “Their” disciples. When we put them on the pedestal we are focusing more on their physical than on their spiritual and message.

So often we loose sight of why we came to this Master and how pure they actually are. We become about their external rather than about their internal.

Depending upon how much their devotees and disciples focus on the external will determine how they fair in the future. Yes it is their ‘job’ to put us on the path for internal focus and love rather than the external.

However when we are around them we find it hard to really understand what they are saying whether it be subtle or blatant. Freud came up with the ID, Ego and Super Ego. This can be related to the ID, which Freud says is our base instincts over riding our Ego, the part that helps us control our base instincts and raise our conscious to our super ego level.

We as individuals need to realise that we will attain, learn and remember the most of who we are if we focus on the internal aspect of the Master. It is then that we will really progress on our path of remembrance.

So often people change Masters because they are focusing on the external of the Master, when we focus on the external, the messages and help they are giving us are usually missed. When the Master shows or reflects something we don’t like we run and try and find another Master. One they hope will change them without having to go through any deep introspection.

Like an eagle looking after her chicks a Master does not have to come down to guide us they can do it from afar. They however choose to come and place themselves at the risk of being judged by our Ego’s and Pride so they can help us remember who we are. For them, they come to give love and not judge. We however most often come to receive and unfortunately judge them. If they make a decision although to us at our level seems inappropriate, on their level it makes sense for our greater development. We judge them and forget how much they have actually given us. We forget all the unconditional love they gave us and all we could give was conditioned love. They do not judge us or say you are a bad devotee, they will always hold out their hand with love and acceptance.

How many of us truly follow our Masters teaching. We say we have a Master and we belong to a religion or group, but truly how many of us actually follow the masters teaching. Practicing what they teach and what we ourselves propagate to all around us. See when we are following the external we ourselves become external beings. Showing on the outside what they teach but on the inside we show something way different. Just as they reflect us we reflect how we approach them on our internal. If we approach with unconditional love our internal will be that. But If we approach on the external and judge with conditioned love, we will mirror that on our internal. We will judge others and only give conditioned love to all those around us.

The Master can only show you the Love you have to make the effort to become it and live day to day, minute by minute and second by second.

March

I was lucky enough to receive a story in my inbox just before writing this month’s newsletter. The universe gave me the opportunity to convey my thoughts from them in the form of a story. A story that is very simple and yet so profound. After reading the story sit down and truly think how we as individuals and a society as a whole act on a day to day basis.

These day to day actions make up the environment we live in and the environment that we leave for the next generation.... our children. It is up to us as people to decide if the environment will be one of Greed or Love.

My vote is Love……

The current world issues have come about as a result of greed and materialism. In order for us to truly make a difference in how we as individuals and a society go into the next part of our spiritual and emotional development, will depend on our ability to sit down and take stock of our beings in the whole context, starting from the soul outwards.

A young man was having a conversation with God one day and said “Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like”

The Lord led the young man to two doors. He slowly opened the first of the doors and the young man looked into the room. In the middle of the room was a large round table and in the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made his mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly and appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

The Lord said “My son you have seen Hell, now let me show you the next room.”

So The Lord led the young man to the next room and opened the door for him to see inside. The man was astonished at what he saw for it was exactly the same as the first one. There was the same large round table with the same large pot of stew which made the young man's mouth water just as before. The people around the table were equipped with the same long-handled spoons as before, but here the people were well nourished, plump, laughing and talking.

The young man looking bewildered turned to God and said, “I don't understand, how is this possible.” The Lord understanding his confusion gave a simple answer that had a profound truth for the young man and all of humanity. “It is simple” said The Lord. “It requires but one skill, you see here where they are well nourished and happy, they have learned to feed each otherand look after each other.” “While in the other room where everyone is ill and unhappy they are greedy and think only of themselves.”

How does this story relate into our everyday lives? A Society and community should come together for the purpose of uplifting the individual’s conscience. Why is that so important?

Because by lifting the individual’s Consciousness the community and societies mass Consciousness is uplifted as a result. Our communities and societies Consciousness level is determined by the Consciousness of the individuals living in the community and society.

As Ghandi said “be the change you want to see in the world”So how can we as individuals start to change the consciousness level of those around us?Will preaching about a religion do the trick? Or will getting people to perform various rituals or attend church, temple or mosque?

From past history and experiences the answer is no. So how then can we go about to manifest this drastically needed change in ourselves as individuals.

The answer is simple and one that we all know but we have not really made it 100% ours. The reason for this is we as individuals do not know how to carry it with us wherever we may go.So what is the Answer?

The answer is Love.

Love is the basis for everything we do. Love is the manner in which we should act from second to second, minute to minute, hour to hour... When we act with love, everybody can only but respond with love.

In our Kriya Yoga course participants are given the tools to act with love unconditionally all day and every day. Babaji transfers his energy into the person and uplifts them. That is his gift; your gift back to him and yourself is to keep yourself vibrating at that level ;-))

So please become Conscious of this and start making your vibration and aura radiate with love…

Lots of Love Dhanam Jay

Thought for Feb!!!

Thought for February

The year has begun like a Formula 1 Race, for those of you familiar with Formula 1 you will understand for those that dont I will explain.

As January rolled into existence and the New Year past by we were in our cars waiting for the Green light to give us the go ahead for 2009. Since beginning we have set record lap times as January has raced by and now we are preparing to make a pit stop for the next part of the race February. Unfortunately it will be like the well oiled pits stops in Formula 1, see they can change 4 tyres and refuel in less than 14 seconds. So hardly will we have pulled in and we will be on our way again into February.

What does this mean for us and how can we cope. It would seem that time is going faster and we are not being able to keep up with all that is happening around us. When in reality it is our consciousness that is speeding up and allowing us to create our reality at a greater pace. In the long ago past till not so long ago, it took ages for us to create our reality but as we near 2012 our ability to create our reality has greatly increased in power and speed.

Creating our reality means drawing those things which we need to create our reality towards us, every thought and action is a creation of reality and that is why we need to be mindful of what we think and how we act, as every thought and action will bring around this.

Now more than ever it is imperative that we spend time going inside ourselves and focusing on what reality we would really like to create and how we as a Human want to live and be.

Now more than ever do we have the power to truly realise and become who we were meant to become when we first lined up to take birth, and willing took amnesia so we would not remember. This has given us the power to create and experience this world, this has allowed us to come down and remember who we really are. We do not have any lessons to learn, if as all scriptures say we are as God is then what have we to learn. Rather we have a need to remember who we are, remember that we are God and God is us.

February is the month of Love as Valentines Day comes to us on the 14th. Let us focus on love for this month, if ever you are in a situation that takes you away from love, think to yourself “What would love do now” feel it and live it.

Let it become your motto for February and see how it spreads to all those around you.

The Past, The Present and the Future

Why do we have a lack willingness to live the present and have a fear of the future.

We are so stuck with living the past hanging onto those memories, usually the bad ones that we forget that we created those moments, we lived them because we decided to live them. We forget that we are the creators of the present, yes God gave us free will - the ability to create our present we forget that and we focus on the past of what was.

The past makes us fearful of living the future because we become frightened of what we might do.

The future is determined by the present not the past. The past is there to help us realise what worked and did not worked, how we acted whether it was how we wanted people to receive us or not.

The past can only be changed by acting in the present so new outcomes are created and different future possibilities established.

We are the creators of our present and possible futures, God intended it to be that way.
There is no good or bad in any situation, God does not judge us as our fellow human race. He knows we are learning, learning to remember who we are.

He lets our souls do what they need to remember who we are, he does this with love, pure unconditional love.

Learn from the past see if it suits who want to be.
Live the present and create your moment by moment reality.
Smile at the future so the present becomes even more real

Has Religion Failed us??????

Has Religion Failed us??????

This is a question I have been asking myself over Christmas and into the New Year.

If we take religion from the last 2000 years, then the only answer deduced after logical reasoning is yes.

Religion was supposed to bring us closer to God – Has it, if we look at the facts in fact it has taken us further away from God then ever before.

Religion has caused and still does cause some of the worst atrocities against mankind and our fellow humans.

It has segregated us between different groups i.e. Muslims, Christians, Jews, Hindus etc.

Not only is the segregation at the bigger levels, but at the internal levels inside side those religion setups is there separation, judgment and hatred.

Religion has put God in a box, made God wrathful, judgmental and unloving. In short it has made God Human, it has made God one like us, lost and confused.

The opposite should be true it should make us like God, the true nature of God. That is loving, caring, non judgemental and ever expanding.

Mankind through history has taken religion and used it as a way to control people and make them powerless. This has been done for greed and pride. One really needs to ask themselves has this religion actually served me in anyway, has it brought me closer to God or has it made me fear God.

It is time we stop fearing God and rather Love him. He has no judgment against us or looks down on us when we do something wrong. He does not say because you are a man you will come to me first and women can’t reach me.

No rather he says all you do, good and bad are a learning experience, fear not I love you as I wish you would love your fellow man.

It is time to walk towards a more spiritual understanding of life.

One based on Love as the main principle, when love is the main principle then there can be no greed or hatred.

It is 2009 and time for us to truly start to operate from the heart, operate with love to everyone.

For that to be done we must break the shackled and beliefs that religion has placed on us, only once you re free from those limiting beliefs can you begin to start to live and understand what God truly has given us here on the earth to experience.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
