A New Year....

As another year comes into view just around the corner, this is usually the time where humans make decisions on changes they would like in their life. We look into the past year and see what we did and what we did not manage to accomplish in the year that leaves us. How many times have we repeated this cycle of birth at a new year then death on the 31st as we make promises to ourselves of freshness and renewed vigor In what we believe to be the best for us.

Can we really say we have control over our destiny, for God has a plan for us through our many past actions. He has a plan that is leading us back to Him, back to being this love that he is, for that is all He wants for us His children, to be this love and ascend to Him. If a parent looses a child all that parents longs for is for the return of the child. The parent will do everything to lead the child back home, no matter how long it takes.

So what do we control over, that is the question that always arises, what can we do in order to move back towards God. The one thing we as humans have control over is how positive or negative we are in our actions and beliefs. We can choose to be positive or negative and this choice and actual implementation will determine how closer and faster we get to God. There is in reality no good or bad for all comes from the Divine and when we ascend over this and see both qualities as perfect then we have become this love. However it must be noted on the journey being more positive on a constant basis is the easier path to rise above it. At the end of the day the choice is yours and God will love you no matter what, it all comes down to how desperate, determined and your want to be with Him again is as to the path you will walk.

Keep your New Years resolutions simple, keep them focused on the Divine for then you will have all the happiness, peace and riches in the worlds. You must decide, do you want to spend eternity at the right hand of the Father or away from Him as He longs to have you with Him. You have to make the conscious decision to want to be with him over and above all the distractions He has given us. Judge not others for their actions rather pray for them and thank God that in His kindness He graced you not to be the Villain in your life.

A blog post to change the world

This evening i received a link for a post that talks about things Pope Francis said in a speech in St Peters Square a few days ago. As I read I was amazed at was written, it sounded beautiful and what the world truly needed. It was stated that He spoke of how all religions are the same and there in essence is only one God. He spoke of love being the ultimate for God is truly love, as love is the highest form. You can read it here:

However after some searching we found out that the article was sadly a spoof. A few things should be understood here: firstly Pope Francis has said a few of the things in the article as He is calling on Catholics and Christians in General to be more pious and less worried about material gains and more worried about being closer to Jesus true message of love they neighbor and be the Good Samaritan He spoke of in the Bible, put service to others above all else. When asked at an interview on what He thought about gay Priests He simply stated who am I to Judge.

The article in itself was immensely joyful to read and all those that read it where sad that it was not true as the message was beautiful and as God himself would want us to be open with patience and love. After some reflection it is a wonder to see how God works and truly cares for His children, one simple article that was spread across the world and read by millions planted a seed that all is one. In order for strong tree to be, first the seed must be planted. God has done that as the thought of how humanity can be and see each other was shown, and the happiness it brought to those who read it will continue to grow.  In a discourse my Spiritual Master gave a while back He said some beautiful words, first be humane and remember your humanity before being spiritual or enlightened. Treat others with love and respect and value how they feel, then you shall know ever lasting peace.

One simple spoof article has planted a seed for Humanity to grow into a tree of Love, Patience and Unity, it is however up to us now to water the this seed. Let our future be one unified under the banner of Divine Love for all, let us remember that serving others is as Jesus said in the Bible 'the last shall be first and the first shall be last' and 'what you do unto the least of my kin you do unto me'.

A Greater Love

Living the life of someone who has decided to be celibate and trying to fully focus all of one's energies on the Divine, in theory sounds easy like life would always be a bunch of roses full of fragrance. However each day we are confronted with the reality of spirituality, spirituality that has so many ways and descriptions that at time it can seem very confusing. The world has defined the way a spiritual person should be, however when you are living it the reality can seem the very different and even opposite to these notions that we have been told are the way within oneself and outside of you. 

The question though is what is a spiritual person and does one truly have to be 'renounced' as they love to say in order to truly spiritual. Firstly we should look at the word renounced, what does it mean, what does it stand for and where does it lead. It the Bhagavad-Gita Krishna says one should renounce the fruits of their action, not to be attached to anything. In the Bible Jesus says to His disciples, if you are not prepared to give up your father, mother, brother, children, wealth etc then you are not ready to follow Him. 

In essence it means to not be attached to anything, how can that be how can we love what we do, love what we have and our family but not be attached to them or all that is around. Is it possible? The answer is yes and when one finds within them a love that is not attached then one begins to realise the greatness of this love, for the love you will find will not be reliant on anything external but will flow through to everything internal and external without the possibility of being interrupted.

That is the true nature of being renounced and one does not have to walk the path I am currently on, one can as others before have done find this greater love in everyday life, so we should not look at the term as being 'renounced' but rather let us say being a greater love that is ever flowing to all the world. Then we move into the more beautiful and greater field of being a spiritual person and what that means, as I said earlier the world has so many definitions of what a spiritual person is or as a should be like. Each and every day we are bombarded with all these notions and ways that 'society' says we should be. That in itself is funny as most spiritual people would consider themselves to be 'outside' of society yet they still find themselves inside society and trying to live to the standards that society has set for spiritual people. We spend so much time trying be as we are 'meant' to be as society is saying we should be that we can forget the essence of way we chose to be here, why we chose to go inwards more than we go outwards. This also falls into the being the greater love renouncing what others perceptions are of how we as 'spiritual' people should be and just being this greater love. 

This greater love is the essence of who we are, why we our souls are in this body and why we have decided to be this greater love. This greater love does not require you to be wondering around India, living in a monastery or even living with some else. All it requires is that no matter where you are and what you are doing you live within your heart. Deep within your heart deep within your soul, for that is where you will find all that you are looking for, all that is human, all that is Divine and all that is the essence of everything. 

May we all find this greater love and live it day by day

Love the Lord your God above all else

Oh great and gracious Lord, how you fill my soul with Joy, how you fill my soul with Love, how you fill my soul with sadness and oh how you fill my soul with longing. Why oh Lord do You only grant this pure soul glimpses of your beauty and withdraw like the thief stealing butter again in your favorite pastime.

Oh. Lord may I accept all you give me and know that all is grace, my the sadness be as great as my joy so I can fully understand your completeness. May my understanding of all creation be through your eyes so all is equal and loved through me by you. May I be an empty flute so you can play me and your notes flow through me enticing all of creation back to you.

Oh Lord God I love you

In the End....

In the end you will forgive and love all of Gods children just as The Lord and all the Saints have shown us... So the question you must ask yourself is why not be this now then you will truly realize yourself

Have we stopped and asked what is actually important to us?

Have we stopped and asked what is actually important to us, what is it that really matters as we move through our lives. At some point we have all had the experience that the material existence is unsatisfying and unable to give us truly what we need to fill that hole that comes up every now and then. It is a void that through a sadness of not feeling compete brings contemplation and is so often is said by people' taking stock of our lives'.

The question is do we really know what is missing, if we do not truly know what is missing then how we can take stock of it? How can we fill it with what we really need if we have no idea what is missing? What could be permanent, permanent enough to fill a whole inside of us, what is the only constant in all of existence that will always be with us and what we are truly searching for?

God.... For He alone can fill the void, emptiness within for He is alone is complete and ever existing. However when we say God do we really say it with the depth of understanding that the Divine is. For He is within us and around us, He is that which we seek and that which which we long for.

He is the love we see in someone else's eye, He is the joy and sadness we feel, He is happiness and sorrow within us, He is complete for all exists within Him Good and Bad, all comes from Him. If you stopped yourself at this moment and focused your attention of God how would your mood and feeling change, If you simply put your hand on your heart and said, God I love you, thank for everything you have given me, thank you for all you are yet to grace me with, thank you for your constant unwavering love that flows from you I know I sometimes forget this and now I am thanking for always being my light in the dark, thank you for always being my pillar of strength that holds me up in times of weakness thank you dearest beloved of my heart, for that is where He sits day after day night after after night patiently waiting for you to focus on Him so you are filled with His love and completeness so you may be filled with all that He is.

Oh Lord our God in times of darkness I know you will be my guiding light, you are the ship that brings me safely to the shores of Divine love, you are the grace that fills every atom of my being. My soul yearns for you and cries at the separation it finds itself in through neglect on my part. Oh Lord wipe away the dirt that covers my heart and soul so that it may only shine with your grace and love. May I be your beacon of light in world for others to find you, may I serve you with all my heart and soul age after age.

Madiba Magic

Madiba Magic because that is what it was and will always be. He was and always will be an icon for all of us in this age, a saint known yet unknown at the same time.  As someone growing up as apartheid was ending and seeing Mandela being released from Prison little did I and so many not only in South Africa but around the world realise how much He would and has touched our lives as we grew and went on to other things. That one choice He made as He came out of prison to forgive all those and everyone for all that was done to Him. He knew inside Himself that if He gave in and was angry at the world for how He was treated that this would mean that after all His incarceration they would have won in the end. But the path He chose to walk, that famous walk to freedom gave Him the power to shape His destiny and serve God as a messenger for all the world to follow. How blessed we are to have been around in his lifetime. As I write this I feel Joy, happiness, fear and positivity inside me at the same time. Joy that I was alive during such a great persons existence and knowing that He is in Heaven now, Sad that He has left us, left us wanting more of a his Madiba Magic, Fear that His true message of peace, unity and love will be forgotten over looked and Positive that, that same message will be embraced but not only South Africans but the whole world. 

As a Nation and the world mourns a true modern day Icon of love let us rather than being sad let us rejoice that He has entered Heaven and is looking down on us from above filling our hearts with so much Joy. I was walking back tonight as snow gently fell I looked up at the sky and saw it bright, brighter with stars than I had seen it for a long time and new in my heart that God was happy that one of His beloved children had returned to Him after bringing so much joy, love and peace to all those around Him.

Thank you and Hamba Kahle Madiba my from heart and soul for all you did for us during your life, you inspired unity where none saw possible, u showed forgiveness is possible no matter what has happened and you gave love freely as an example to all those  whose lives you touched.

Limiting the Unlimited

How can we say characteristics of God are we not limiting and making finite the unlimited and infinite? For God the creator, sustainer and destroyer of all cannot be God if He did no exist before all ages and will exist after all time. In essence God is love; love for His creation and all that exist through Him. Free your yourself from trying to understand the Divine through the Mind free yourself from trying to understand the Divine through how you perceive the world and all that is around. If you truly want to know the Divine then you must open the heart and see through there.

Time to be Honest......

If we are honest with ourselves and we truly live and breathe the Jesus Prayer 'Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me a sinner' then when we look at our consciousness and see that there are weeds we will not simple say "there are no weeds, there are no weeds there are no weeds" repeatedly. For the more we deny this within ourselves the more we let the weeds take over our consciousness,  becoming entangled and over grown with them. This slows your ascent back to God and if denied long  enough, will completely cover you. 

Rather be honest and say Lord Jesus Christ yes I am a sinner, look at your garden, look at your consciousness and say YES there are weeds let me pull them out, let me work on removing them so the Love of God can flourish in my consciousness. There is no use once you see the weeds to ignore them or blame somebody else. It is your consciousness, you created your consciousness by your actions and you must begin to change and align yourself with the will of God. This attitude brings true positive change into your being as you are actually doing something about it. You are becoming enlightened, you are realising that you have the unique ability to reason allowing you to create your reality by operating from the heart on a daily basis. When you are operating from the heart you are automatically going to weed your garden. You will only want the best fruit and flowering plants in your garden for God to walk through.

Spirituality the new Black

The title of this entry is sure to get a few heads turning!! In the fashion industry when a new colour becomes fashionable they say is it the x.  So it is with spirituality at the moment as it has become fashionable and is becoming more and more main stream. From east to west as the material world around us begins to crumble due in part to its falseness that we have allowed to be created, people are realising deep within themselves the need for something else something they have not yet put their fingers on. They can feel its pulse they can feel something in the ether but yet it is still elusive. Self Help Guru's have sprung up a dime a dozen and people are publishing books about how to manifest the life of your dreams. The majority of the stuff is rehashed and reworked and says basically the same thing over and over.

The first question however before we embark on this journey of creating our true reality is what do we actually want and what do we actually want to create. The most beautiful point of this question is this: we can never really put it down as we grow so our reality of what we want to create actually changes. Sometimes the change is slow and sometimes so fast we feel as though we have fallen out of a car. I remember around 14 years ago I went to see someone who said I could create a new reality and Divine path of my choosing and He would embed this into my consciousness and it would become my new purpose. I went deep within during the session and did as was guided, however God had other plans for me and try as I might the Divine always brought me back to where He knew I needed to be. 

We must ask ourselves this, what is point of all this spirituality that West has commercialised with Yoga, meditation, and various other techniques that have come out of the East. When we begin any new path one will always feel a difference and beauty, however over time one begins to understand subtle differences in how you really react to things, you will begin to understand yourself and when I say understand yourself I mean only a fraction of yourself. Each one of us has a purpose and reason for being back here, the main purpose is to find the Divine through love. However we have come with lessons to go through and through past actions and beliefs have certain things to work through. First look to find the Divine through Love then no matter what you have come to learn or remember it will not matter. That is the first lesson and understanding that should be said on page 1 of every self help book that has been written and line 1 in every self help lecture that is done. Every action whether material or spiritual in nature should be done with the sole purpose and understanding of attaining the Divine through love. This comes through acceptance of who you are at any point and acceptance with love of where you are at any given point. No matter where or what you are experiencing it has been proven that a positive attitude and faith brings the greatest benefit and change to yourself and those around you.

Be love, Be Kind and be Divine no matter where you are or what you are experiencing and to really be in this space you must be positive. Be the current the illumines your world and the world around you.
