The Mind of Man

Where there is no Prayer or thought of God the Devil can enter. This is true for own homes and the environments that we spend time in, but Is it not the same or bodies and our mind, when we pray and think of God in the numerous ways  available for us from our Heart then the Devil cannot enter us.

However when our mind and body becomes more about the senses, more about pleasure for it and we forget The Lord then how easy is it for us to be led astray. The mind is like a dog that loves to be taken on walks to the most pleasurable places for it to enjoy itself. The first puppy training it got was for the world, it was taught by society that that the outside world is the place for it to play and run, it was shown that to do its business this was the park and it could run wild.

Now we have to retrain a big dog and show Him the playing park, show Him the new world, the world of Prayer and the Divine. It is not easy as the world of the puppy is so enticing and enthralling that it can easily undo any of the training done in an instant. We have to be so careful where we take the big dog for a walk for His own good to help Him stay focused and on the path of the Divine.

When the mind of man is focused on the pleasures of the senses then the senses are controlling it and it in turn leads the rest of the body down the path. The soul from inside of us is screaming at us to go within and focus on it. Go within and focus on the Divine instead. But it is hard to reign in the mind when it begins a journey with senses and even harder when it gets the body involved. To change its direction once it starts running one needs strength and a complete 100% commitment to want to change its direction or else you will be gone.

Love for Everyday

I could give you roses today, or You could see The Divine in your Heart. I could take You to dinner tonight or You could feel the Love from the Divine inside you. I could say I love you or You could still the mind and hear I love you from the Divine inside your heart.

How much emphasis do we put we getting love from others to make us feel complete, we look outside for the love that we have flowing inside of us. For if we we expect others to give us love it must be coming from somewhere in them. If we have not found this love is us how can we expect others to give it to us, how can u feel cheated, betrayed or unfulfilled then when others don't withdraw it, but just as you have not learnt to keep the love flowing from the heart, so they to are still understanding this. They to are still realizing that it can flow unending from the heart to all, flow from the Divine to all without judgment or the mind interfering.

Is it not time to begin looking within, spending time within instead of throwing yourself to the outside world that loves to consume you and your consciousness without remorse or love. If you are to be consumed why not be consumed by your own consciousness and that of the Divine by going within where the reward is love pure unconditional love.

African Time Part 1

In December last year I got the blessing to fly back to SA and spend three week travelling around South Africa, seeing all the devotees and going to to the Temples around the country. After moving to SPN last year April I was a bit emotional about going back as the Spiritual family in SPN had taken over my heart and I was excited about seeing my spiritual family in South Africa where it all began, where I first found Him, first found Swami. That first encounter is always one of the sweetest  and remains in your heart and the devotees you shared that moment with always remain in your heart part of that Divine experience.

As a resident at Sri Swami Vishwananda’s Headquarters when you travel to other countries and meet Devotees, it always touches my heart to see how eager they are to feast on any story you can tell about Swami and what is happening at SPN. They are so eager to hear His lila's that any small detail left out causes them anguish, no matter how trivial you may think it is for them it is like finding the Pink Star amongst some grass, they will pick it up and treasure it as the most prized possession they have.

In Johannesburg where we have the Maha Jwala Narasimha Temple we had various programs at Devotees houses, each time we got together we ended up in long discussions about Swami, I was being grilled and as you would a lemon I was being squeezed for every last ounce of Nectar about Swami they could get. Swamini Vishwamohini who became my travel companion in Johannesburg had a busy schedule, dinners, group Kriya with my Kriya students, weekend Maha Abishek on Narasimha, Om Healing. On the Saturday Swami had created the situation where all the devotees decided to come to Swamini place for lunch and a meeting. I felt so blessed as Swamini and myself were given the honour of cooking for all the devotees that day, it is an honour that can only be surpassed by cooking for Swami Himself for to nourish and serve the Devotees of the Lord is more dear to Him than you serving Him. The meeting that day was 3 hours long filled with Devotees sharing their love for each other and how much the group and Swami means to them in their lives. Each devotee wanted more of the same, more of coming together and being grateful for each other  and Swami in their lives. After 3 hours I came in shouting Haribol, Prasdam Ki Jai as it was time to eat, the meeting was ended off with each person saying one thing that they were grateful for. I can only share mine: I said I was grateful that Swami had allowed by His grace for God to manifest in my heart and seated Himself there so if ever I feel distant from Him I can simply look with and now that He is always with me. For inside of Him we find all His beautiful devotees with their souls shining bright as beacon for all us to be guided and close to Him.

After just over a week I flew to Durban to be with Swami Vishwachakradharananda and the devotees in Durban….

Life choices

Everyone in life always has the same request or wish we could say and it usually has two parts to it. Part one is that they wish to be happy and the second part is that they wish for peace within their lives. In essence these two wishes are rather big in nature or they can be small, the size of accomplishment depends on the person and how they are wiling to be. Living in the outside world one has to be very conscious of everything that we let into our lives. for the world is designed by us to distract us from truly finding happiness and peace.

Being in South Africa for the last 2 weeks and away from the Ashram in Germany, it was interesting to see the difference between the two lifestyles that one can live. Let’s clarify both are beautiful and wonderful it all depends on what you are looking for out of life. Living in the Ashram where every minute is dedicated to serving the Divine, you have very little time to worry about much and all you think of is God 24/7. It is said that you are what you think of and do, what could be more beneficial for you than thinking of the most complete, most pure and most beautiful form of unconditional love than God. This life all though it sounds easy, takes resolve and dedication beyond anything that can be understand unless you have actually lived and are living it. It takes focus and a true desire to be in that state. For challenges will come and unlike in the outside world you have very little to distract you from going within when you are challenged and seeing the problem as being within you and not from the outside. it is when we have very little to distract us that we truly can begin grow, for then you can only turn within yourself and turn to your soul. If you recurse to and continue to refuse to do that in this environment you will not last very long.

The outside world is designed to distract us, designed to keep our senses engrossed in everything but going within. We have constant distractions, constant sensory overload which is why we always feel anxiety and anguish. One always searches for the next sense gratification and latest thing. I was once asked, but in the Ashram / renounced life don't your senses also get overloaded and the answer is yes they do but we should understand the difference. In the Ashram our senses are over loaded with Love for God and that is the difference for God is the only constant in our life and true completeness so one always has room for more and never burns out. Through His grace he keeps you growing and growing so that you can take all of Him in more and more.

You must decide what life you want to live because changes will need to be made in order for you to grow and become more Divine. I say more Divine for what you are searching for in essence is become Divine, become the Divinity that you have inside of you. This Divinity is inside of us and we choose, not God we choose to not recognise it within ourselves and within others. When we feel separate from God, that is our decision for He is always close to us, actually He is always seated within our hearts. As soon as you truly understand that and consciously live it then you will be the Swan that can take only the milk from the water as you live life you will take only the divinity from every situation. For everyone is Divine, everyone has the same light, yes some people are more conscious at this specific point and some are not, don't judge don't see the situation or any person as someone that you can help. See everyone as perfect and beautiful then there will be no need to judge or help them.

To all my brothers and sisters truly realizing the Divinity within yourself I send love and prayers that God will take you on His lap as a parent does with their child and nourish you with His love and compassion.
