Masters the deeper meaning

So often we look to spiritual masters as Gods and that has an unfortunate way in which we end up viewing and digesting their message.

When we look at our spiritual Masters as Gods we end up putting them on pedestals. Why is this such a bad thing?

The majority of them do not want to be put in that category. It has a number of adverse affects on those who are “Their” disciples. When we put them on the pedestal we are focusing more on their physical than on their spiritual and message.

So often we loose sight of why we came to this Master and how pure they actually are. We become about their external rather than about their internal.

Depending upon how much their devotees and disciples focus on the external will determine how they fair in the future. Yes it is their ‘job’ to put us on the path for internal focus and love rather than the external.

However when we are around them we find it hard to really understand what they are saying whether it be subtle or blatant. Freud came up with the ID, Ego and Super Ego. This can be related to the ID, which Freud says is our base instincts over riding our Ego, the part that helps us control our base instincts and raise our conscious to our super ego level.

We as individuals need to realise that we will attain, learn and remember the most of who we are if we focus on the internal aspect of the Master. It is then that we will really progress on our path of remembrance.

So often people change Masters because they are focusing on the external of the Master, when we focus on the external, the messages and help they are giving us are usually missed. When the Master shows or reflects something we don’t like we run and try and find another Master. One they hope will change them without having to go through any deep introspection.

Like an eagle looking after her chicks a Master does not have to come down to guide us they can do it from afar. They however choose to come and place themselves at the risk of being judged by our Ego’s and Pride so they can help us remember who we are. For them, they come to give love and not judge. We however most often come to receive and unfortunately judge them. If they make a decision although to us at our level seems inappropriate, on their level it makes sense for our greater development. We judge them and forget how much they have actually given us. We forget all the unconditional love they gave us and all we could give was conditioned love. They do not judge us or say you are a bad devotee, they will always hold out their hand with love and acceptance.

How many of us truly follow our Masters teaching. We say we have a Master and we belong to a religion or group, but truly how many of us actually follow the masters teaching. Practicing what they teach and what we ourselves propagate to all around us. See when we are following the external we ourselves become external beings. Showing on the outside what they teach but on the inside we show something way different. Just as they reflect us we reflect how we approach them on our internal. If we approach with unconditional love our internal will be that. But If we approach on the external and judge with conditioned love, we will mirror that on our internal. We will judge others and only give conditioned love to all those around us.

The Master can only show you the Love you have to make the effort to become it and live day to day, minute by minute and second by second.

March

I was lucky enough to receive a story in my inbox just before writing this month’s newsletter. The universe gave me the opportunity to convey my thoughts from them in the form of a story. A story that is very simple and yet so profound. After reading the story sit down and truly think how we as individuals and a society as a whole act on a day to day basis.

These day to day actions make up the environment we live in and the environment that we leave for the next generation.... our children. It is up to us as people to decide if the environment will be one of Greed or Love.

My vote is Love……

The current world issues have come about as a result of greed and materialism. In order for us to truly make a difference in how we as individuals and a society go into the next part of our spiritual and emotional development, will depend on our ability to sit down and take stock of our beings in the whole context, starting from the soul outwards.

A young man was having a conversation with God one day and said “Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like”

The Lord led the young man to two doors. He slowly opened the first of the doors and the young man looked into the room. In the middle of the room was a large round table and in the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made his mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly and appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

The Lord said “My son you have seen Hell, now let me show you the next room.”

So The Lord led the young man to the next room and opened the door for him to see inside. The man was astonished at what he saw for it was exactly the same as the first one. There was the same large round table with the same large pot of stew which made the young man's mouth water just as before. The people around the table were equipped with the same long-handled spoons as before, but here the people were well nourished, plump, laughing and talking.

The young man looking bewildered turned to God and said, “I don't understand, how is this possible.” The Lord understanding his confusion gave a simple answer that had a profound truth for the young man and all of humanity. “It is simple” said The Lord. “It requires but one skill, you see here where they are well nourished and happy, they have learned to feed each otherand look after each other.” “While in the other room where everyone is ill and unhappy they are greedy and think only of themselves.”

How does this story relate into our everyday lives? A Society and community should come together for the purpose of uplifting the individual’s conscience. Why is that so important?

Because by lifting the individual’s Consciousness the community and societies mass Consciousness is uplifted as a result. Our communities and societies Consciousness level is determined by the Consciousness of the individuals living in the community and society.

As Ghandi said “be the change you want to see in the world”So how can we as individuals start to change the consciousness level of those around us?Will preaching about a religion do the trick? Or will getting people to perform various rituals or attend church, temple or mosque?

From past history and experiences the answer is no. So how then can we go about to manifest this drastically needed change in ourselves as individuals.

The answer is simple and one that we all know but we have not really made it 100% ours. The reason for this is we as individuals do not know how to carry it with us wherever we may go.So what is the Answer?

The answer is Love.

Love is the basis for everything we do. Love is the manner in which we should act from second to second, minute to minute, hour to hour... When we act with love, everybody can only but respond with love.

In our Kriya Yoga course participants are given the tools to act with love unconditionally all day and every day. Babaji transfers his energy into the person and uplifts them. That is his gift; your gift back to him and yourself is to keep yourself vibrating at that level ;-))

So please become Conscious of this and start making your vibration and aura radiate with love…

Lots of Love Dhanam Jay
