Madiba Magic

Madiba Magic because that is what it was and will always be. He was and always will be an icon for all of us in this age, a saint known yet unknown at the same time.  As someone growing up as apartheid was ending and seeing Mandela being released from Prison little did I and so many not only in South Africa but around the world realise how much He would and has touched our lives as we grew and went on to other things. That one choice He made as He came out of prison to forgive all those and everyone for all that was done to Him. He knew inside Himself that if He gave in and was angry at the world for how He was treated that this would mean that after all His incarceration they would have won in the end. But the path He chose to walk, that famous walk to freedom gave Him the power to shape His destiny and serve God as a messenger for all the world to follow. How blessed we are to have been around in his lifetime. As I write this I feel Joy, happiness, fear and positivity inside me at the same time. Joy that I was alive during such a great persons existence and knowing that He is in Heaven now, Sad that He has left us, left us wanting more of a his Madiba Magic, Fear that His true message of peace, unity and love will be forgotten over looked and Positive that, that same message will be embraced but not only South Africans but the whole world. 

As a Nation and the world mourns a true modern day Icon of love let us rather than being sad let us rejoice that He has entered Heaven and is looking down on us from above filling our hearts with so much Joy. I was walking back tonight as snow gently fell I looked up at the sky and saw it bright, brighter with stars than I had seen it for a long time and new in my heart that God was happy that one of His beloved children had returned to Him after bringing so much joy, love and peace to all those around Him.

Thank you and Hamba Kahle Madiba my from heart and soul for all you did for us during your life, you inspired unity where none saw possible, u showed forgiveness is possible no matter what has happened and you gave love freely as an example to all those  whose lives you touched.
