As the year seem to move faster and faster we gracefully slide into the month of May. I was lucky enough to take a week’s break at the end of April in a wonderful place overlooking the sea. While down at the coast I was having many discussions with the Masters as I was being lead to understand more and more about the universe and the world in which we live.
Let us start here with what is a Master and do we understand how lucky we are to be in the presence of one. I remember reading Autobiography of a Yogi in 2003 finishing the book and then saying to myself wow how lucky are all these people they got to spend time with truly great Master from Lahiri Mahasaya to Sri Yukteswar down to Yogananda. What a blessing for them but come on they are all in either India or America and what is the chance of me meeting a Master like that let alone getting initiated into Kriya and maybe teaching Kriya one day.
Fast forward 6 years and I have been blessed by meeting various Masters, taking Swami initiation as a Swami for Mahavatar Babaji Himself, being able to initiate people into Kriya Yoga for Mahavatar Babaji and as I said earlier being in the presence of true Masters. This last fact alone is so rare in our incarnations that I must ask do I truly appreciate this.
I know that sometimes I forget what an amazing blessing this is just as we all do. Sometimes I take it for granted but more often than anything else I sit down and truly say thank you to them for showing me what is actually possible in this life. Even when I take them for granted the unconditional love they give me shows that they are true Masters and this itself is the entire lesson we need. No lectures or discourses just this. The showing of how we should actually be, just being unconditional love.
However one of the main things they keep saying is we are all one and the individuality we feel in this existence needs to be moved past. We as souls having this experience must understand that what we do to one we do to all and our self. This is the consciousness that should be understood and experienced. We have all felt that bursting joy, love and happiness inside us when we have made someone else experience those same wonderful things. The same is true for fear, negativity and pain. It is up to us to consciously decide which one of these two experiences we want everyone around us to experience. Do we want them to feel fear, pain and negativity or do we want them to experience happiness, love and joy. The answer to this will determine what you in turn will experience.
We must also realise that no two things in the universe are the same. No two souls are the same as the experiences they have had have made their understanding diverse. No two forms that we inhabit down here or elsewhere in the universe are matching. Our creator made it this way so that not even two snow flakes are identical. Things might seem similar but sometimes only the Creator and the Masters can actually see the subtle differences. Religion is supposed to be the unifier of man but that has lead us as history shows to separate ourselves even more from one another and God. We loose common ground under the name of religion and beliefs. Separating ourselves when in-fact we actually should be unifying together. So then with all this diversity that we find not only with our physical and spiritual selves but also with our perceptions, what is the foundation and base that we can all use as a understanding on which to move forward and truly come together as one. How can we begin to remember who we are?
Starting with question of right or wrong as this is how we move forward in our daily lives believing that we are justified in some action or behaviour. We see ourselves as right and others as wrong. Is it not funny then how others can see us as wrong and themselves as right. How is that possible then under this light to unify as a whole together? How can we move away from judgement towards each other? Firstly right or wrong is determined by the person’s perception of reality at that time. What does that mean, we as humans have actually created the understanding of right or wrong. For in the universe there is no right or wrong. Right or wrong is a judgemental emotion and perception which actually leads us away from our core. My perception from right or wrong is different from lets say my brothers. Even though we had the same family our understandings and experiences have lead us to have different perceptions of reality. My perception of reality might be of a gentler loving nature but does that make me more advanced or spiritually superior to him. See as you begin to unravel the threads more and more threads become loose. In truth there will only be one thread left that you are holding once you have worked your way through all the misconceptions and misunderstandings. The one thread left on which the universe is built and which we should build our foundations on for the remembrance of who we are and unification with each other is unconditional love.
Unconditional love does not see right or wrong but acceptance of who you are and your perceptions. Unconditional love does not see someone as more advanced or someone else less civilised. Unconditional love looks past all the conceptions we have down here and says I love you as you are. With so many differences in the universe unconditional love is the platform and foundation God created and gave us so that we could unify and understand each other. Nothing else can have this unification that unconditional can have and give us.
